April Grant is a Wimberley based muralist.  She started painting murals over 21 years ago when her first son was born.   As a self taught mural painter, she learned that this was a type of therapy for her.  Painting and creating artwork is how she fills her cup. Check out some of her artwork below.

Flower Mural Painting Dreams Don't Work unless You do.

When April is not teaching 3rd grade, she is creating something artistic or garden related.  Children’s murals, easter buckets, and hand painted wall art ar some of her favorite things to do.  She also loves to give furniture or cabinets a new refreshed look.  When her kids were younger, she did art camps at her house.  She also was part of the non profit organization in Wimberley, Arts From the Heart where they put on a art fun day at Blue Hole Park. Now she enjoys teaching her students how they can incorporate art in their learning or when they need a little calm down time.

Logan's Dugout

Logan’s Dugout was created to honor the life of Logan Overall. Logan was one of my 4th grade students. It was a great honor to create this mural in his memory.   This is one way that we can continue to share his light with others. The hope is that there will be no children in Wimberley who are missing out on sports or other extracurricular activities due to a financial barrier. Donations of NEW and GENTLY USED items can be dropped off Monday-Thursday at the Barnabas Office in Wimberley from 9 am- 4 pm.
