Classroom decorations play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and engaging learning environment for students. Bulletin boards are a fantastic way to showcase student work, display important information, and add visual appeal to the classroom. “Print and go” bulletin board letters and borders offer a convenient solution for teachers looking to quickly and easily decorate their classroom. I love decorating and creating an inviting space for children to enjoy! Check out options that I’ve used in my own classroom!
Mental Health Check In!
Mental Health is near and dear to my heart! It’s so important to be kind to your mind!
My students and I love this! It is so easy to spot when someone is stressed or struggling! This gives students an easy way to reach out if they need a check in.
Easy to print in color, cut out and create a chart or poster. I recommend laminating it so it last throughout the year. Add a stack of sticky notes next to the chart so students can fill in as they go. Students will add their name to the back and note to the front.

Caught Being Kind, Empathetic and Encouraging Pennants – Holiday Edition
Have students “catch” each other being kind. This activity helps students notice the good that others do and it also encourages them to be kind.
Each day, everyone should write one for someone else. I watch and make sure all kids are getting some (encourage students to notice those that are not getting notes).
An Example: Nate was caught being KIND… in music I could not find my instrument and he helped me.
Affirmation STATION
Implement an Affirmation Station in your classroom that encourages empathy. Choose from these empathy and compassion statements to hang around the mirror in your classroom. It will encourage positive behavior.
Elf Yourself
Students can decorate/color their elf and put the pieces together that they would like to use. You can use real photos for their face. They turn out cute. I will laminate them and add a yarn hook at the top so they can be used for ornaments on their tree. We hang ours in the hall with our “caught being kind” pennants.
